Where are you originally from and why did you want to become a teacher?
I'm originally from Massachusetts. When I was in middle school, I began to take an interest in history. History is such a fascinating subject, I wanted to help future generations learn about it and enjoy learning it.
What hobbies do you have and what do you enjoy doing outside of school?
My favorite hobby is playing basketball. I play in a few adult leagues around Tucson. I also love to hike and spend time with Mrs. Sievers, our daughter Cecelia, and our two dogs.
What are some fun facts about you that people may not know?
Something people might not know about me is that I love to draw.

What do you like most about being a student at MASSA?
Nikolas: I like learning, especially math.
Thiago: I like studying so I can go to college. I like to learn about reading, math, and sometimes science.
What do you like to do when you’re not at school?
Nikolas: I train in jiu-jitsu and play games with my family.

Thiago: I do my homework, I eat dinner with my family, go to church and go to jiu-jitsu class. I also go to jiu-jitsu competitions.
**Nikolas recently won a gold medal and Thiago won a silver medal at the Arizona International Open Jiu-Jitsu Competition!**
⭐ Volunteer of the Month - Adrian Heredia: Booster Club Treasurer
Mr. Heredia is a member of our Booster Club. You’ve probably seen him around at many Booster Club events. He’s frequently helping in the kitchen or being a DJ for our many school events.
How many students do you have here at MASSA and how many years have they been here?
I have 2 kids at MASSA: one 6th grader and one 7th grader. They have been at MASSA for 3 years now.

I volunteer for special events with the Booster Club and Career Day at MASSA. My inspiration is driven by making an impact and a difference for the kids.

What I like most about MASSA is the staff and their dedication to making the kids better for the future.
